Why the heck am I writing this…

And why should you care?

Good question. I’ve reached one of those crossroads in life and figured I’d share my thoughts and experiences with friends and total strangers that are friends I have yet to make.

So what have I done?

I work for one of the major airlines that merged, and accepted the opportunity to transfer. So that entails moving from California to Texas, leaving hubby and my crazy cat behind. I have never lived in the south, so I’m looking forward to the adventure that is the Republic of Texas.

Not only am I dealing with a new home, roommates, and a new job, but learning the crazy freeways in Houston. I’d love to have you join me on my discovery in this next phase of my life.

I am so glad you started this blog. I wish I could have taken the cross over. I can’t wait to learn your feelings and observations from some one that will have lived it from both sides . I wish you luck and hope you can give all of us (or at least those of us listening with open minds) at UA hope that this really will work out.

    • Thanks, that’s what I’m hoping to do. I know I won’t change the minds that are already made up, but I’m hoping at least people are open to seeing some of the good in each camp.

I was lucky that this came at the perfect time in my life. If I had small kids or hubby was at a different point in his career, I wouldn’t have been able to do it.

If you have any specific questions or topics you’d like covered, let me know.

Hi Annette, we met at IAD inflight. You were the first other crossover I had met. It was great to find a like minded spirit going for the adventure. I call us the PIONEERS. For me, this is a journey towards the light, building a bridge, so to speak. The money is enticing too. I’m looking forward to sharing this adventure in aviation with you. Flying happy, Susanne Reed
