That’s about what I’m feeling right now. I’m excited, nervous, and anxious to start my new job, and the first step in moving on to the next phase of my life.

I’m in the third training class, so I pretty much know what to expect. But knowing and doing are two different animals. The comforting thing is the new airline’s attitude is refreshingly positive. I have not encountered any negativity, so far everyone has been incredible- even those that have the most to lose when we integrate and I’m senior to a good chunk of their workforce.

When most of the flight attendants at N.A. (new airline) learn how long we’ve been flying at O.A. (old airline) they think we definitely need drug testing. Our reasons for leaving are as varied as those of us that took a leap of faith. But one thing we all have in common is the need for change, the desire for adventure, and the faith to step out of our comfort zones.

We are the few, the proud, the 119.
