Happy Mother’s Day. I hope you spent a day filled with joy and laughter with your loved ones. For those with mother’s that have passed on, I sincerely wish you spent some time recalling those special moments.
My day started off with a bang- literally. I decided to do laundry at 2 a.m. (first mistake) and set off the alarm. Way to make friends and influence new neighbors. Then, a scant 4 hours later, my poor spousal unit was treated to a full search at the airport causing him to miss his plane. At least the kitty wasn’t the recipient of a cavity search. Of course being the good wife that I am, I drove back to the airport to pick him up.
Luckily the rest of the day held no unpleasant surprises.
We checked into our hotel for our training, and held a meet and greet in the lobby. Isn’t it strange how you feel like you know someone after spending a few months on Facebook? Most of us looked like our pictures. Of course us women only put thin pics up, but we managed to figure it all out.
Everyone was excited and cordial, looking forward to new adventures at work, and in strange cities.
New i.d. pics tomorrow, so girlfriend needs to make sure her fro is rocking. I’ll let you know how the week goes.
